Payments and refunds
What we charge, what we do when something goes wrong, and how to reach a person.

Before you pay. Prices are shown in the currency you see at checkout, and your receipt shows the currency you were actually charged. If a payment fails or shows as pending on your bank statement, do not pay again before reading A payment that failed, below.
What you are buying
Every product on this site is a digital book: a PDF file you read on your own device. Buying it gives you a licence to read it yourself, not a physical item and not a file you can pass on or resell. Once your payment is confirmed, the book is added to your library on this site and does not expire.
How payment works
Payment is taken by one of two payment processors. Which one depends on the currency you pay in. Paystack takes naira. Flutterwave takes US dollars, pounds and euro.
Your card details go straight to that processor. They do not reach Gilead Press and they are not stored on this site. Neither processor is Gilead Press, and each has its own terms covering what it does with your card details.
A book has a naira price, a dollar price, a pound price and a euro price. Those are four figures we set. There is no conversion and no exchange rate anywhere on this site. The euro price is not the naira price converted, and none of the four will match a rate you work out yourself. Not every book is sold in every currency; where a price is not shown, that book is not sold in that currency.
Gilead Press is part of Limitless Rehoboth Technologies Limited, its parent company. That company is not a payment processor and does not take your card details. Its registered address is .
Naira payments are received by .
Which company receives dollar, pound and euro payments has not been confirmed for this page, so it is not stated here. It will be printed here, with its registered address, once it is confirmed. If you need it before then, write to us and ask.
Digital goods and why that changes things
A book is delivered the moment your payment is confirmed, and it cannot be returned the way a physical item can: once a file has been downloaded, we cannot take back the copy. That is why the sections below deal separately with our own mistakes, a duplicate charge, a payment that did not deliver, a file that will not open, and with simply changing your mind after downloading a book, which this page does not yet cover. See When we refund, below.
When we refund
This section is not finished. The refund window, the answer in the discretionary case, and the timescale for the fourth case, where you bought the wrong thing and have not downloaded it, have not been set. Those cannot be printed here until they are confirmed.
What we can say now: three of the four things that go wrong on a purchase are our own failures, not a change of mind, and keeping your money in any of them is not a policy. Those three are covered in full below.
- Charged twice for one thing
- Charged and received nothing
- The file will not open, and we cannot fix it
The fourth case, where you bought the right thing but changed your mind before downloading it, is not covered by this page yet. If it applies to you, contact us and we will look at it individually in the meantime.
Charged twice
If you are charged twice for the same book, the second charge is a billing error and it stands corrected: we do not create a second copy of the book, and you do not owe anything for the second charge. Contact us with both payment references and we will sort it out by hand.
The reference comes from whichever processor took the payment: Paystack if you paid in naira, Flutterwave if you paid in dollars, pounds or euro. If you have only the entry on your bank statement, send that instead. Writing to us is faster than asking your bank to reverse the charge. See Chargebacks, below.

A payment that failed
If a payment does not go through, you were not charged, even if it briefly shows as a pending amount on your bank statement. That pending amount usually clears on its own, generally within 24 hours and sometimes up to 7 working days, because it comes from your bank rather than from us.
Do not pay again until you have checked My Library. If money did leave your account despite a failed-payment message, contact us with the reference and we will look into it. The reference comes from whichever processor took the payment: Paystack if you paid in naira, Flutterwave if you paid in dollars, pounds or euro. If you do not have one, send the entry from your bank statement instead.
Paid and got nothing
If your payment succeeded and the book still has not appeared in your library or your email, this is our failure to deliver, not yours to chase. In the background, our system automatically re-checks recent payments with the processor that took them: Paystack for naira, Flutterwave for dollars, pounds and euro, and finishes delivering any that went through but did not arrive the first time. If the book still has not appeared after a reasonable wait, contact us with your payment reference from that processor. We will either get the book to you or refund the payment.
The same applies if a file will not open and we cannot fix it: contact us, and we will either replace the file or refund the payment.
How long the money takes to reach you, once a refund is agreed, has not been set.

How to ask
Write to us at info@gileadpress.online with your order reference. Quoting the reference is the fastest way for us to find your order and act on it.
We have not published a reply time for this page.
Chargebacks
A chargeback is when you ask your own bank or card issuer to reverse a payment, instead of asking us. Your bank then decides it. We are not the ones deciding, and we cannot speed it up.
Write to us first. If you were charged twice, or charged and got nothing, we can fix it directly and we would rather do that. Going through your bank is the slower route: it goes through your bank, then through the payment processor that took the money, then to us, and every step adds days. Nothing is lost by asking us first: raising a chargeback later stays open to you.
What we can see: your order, what you were charged, which processor took it, the reference and status that processor returned, and whether the book was delivered to your library. That is usually enough for us to see what went wrong without involving your bank.
What we cannot see: anything on your bank's side. Nothing in this site watches for a chargeback, so no notice reaches us here when one is raised and nothing about your account changes by itself because of one. If you have raised a chargeback and want us to look at the order as well, tell us: otherwise we may not know.
What we do once we learn a chargeback has been raised has not been set, so this page does not state it.
