FAQ
Quick answers about buying a book, getting your files, and your account. For anything longer, see Help.
Buying
How to buy, how a book reaches you, and what happens when a payment does not land the way it should.
Open the book's own page and follow the checkout. Payment is handled securely by Paystack if you pay in naira, and by Flutterwave if you pay in dollars, pounds or euro. Delivery is instant either way.
Your book appears on your receipt page the moment payment is confirmed, and we also send a copy by email straight away. If you lose the email, sign in and open My Library.
First, check your email, including spam. If a payment goes through but your book still has not appeared after a short wait, our system re-checks unfinished payments with the processor that took them, Paystack or Flutterwave, in the background and finishes delivering them automatically, so you do not need to do anything. If it still has not arrived after a day, contact us and quote your payment reference.
The payment stands. It does not create a second copy or a second entitlement, and someone on our side sorts it out by hand. Contact us with your reference so we can look into it.
Only if you ask. At checkout there is one tick box, and it is unticked by default: "Email me when Gilead Press publishes something new." Leaving it unticked means we will not email you about new books.
Files and downloads
What you get, how often you can download it, and the book you bought on the other shop.
That is a separate shop with its own records. A purchase made there does not appear in My Library here, and you do not need to buy it again. The download link from that purchase still works. If you have lost it, contact us with the email address you used and we will resend it.
Each book's own page lists the exact format it comes in. Every book we have checked ships as a PDF, and a PDF opens on any phone, tablet or computer with no extra app needed. Your access does not expire.
There is a daily limit that applies across every book and file you own, not per title, and it resets at midnight Lagos time. Opening a book to read it in the browser counts too. If you reach the limit, we tell you how long until it resets. This number is set by us and can change, so we do not print it here; it always appears in your account when you are close to it.
Each download link is for one use only and stays valid for a short time after you ask for it. Go back to My Library and download the book again; that starts a fresh link. If we have replaced a file with a corrected version, the old link stops working and we tell you the file was replaced rather than showing you a broken link.
Yes. Sign in on your phone, your laptop, or both. There is no limit on the number of devices, only the one shared daily download limit above, and every download counts toward it no matter which device it came from. For your security, we let you know if a file is opened from a device we have not seen before, in case it was not you.
This can happen if a refund was processed, or if you bought it on a different shop. If you think this is wrong, contact us and quote your email address.
Courses
One question, because there is one course fact today.
Not yet. There are no courses on sale today. Everything in the catalogue right now is a book. See the courses page.
Your account
Where your books live, how you get back in, and why there is no password to reset.
Buying a book automatically creates an account for you using the email address you paid with. That account is your library: it is where every book you buy sits, so you can come back and download it again.
Type your email address and press Continue. We send you a one-time code by email. This works whether you set a password before, signed in with Google before, or never chose anything at all because your account was created automatically by a purchase.
Your receipt has a one-time sign-in link. It works for one hour from the moment your payment went through, and only if that purchase was the one that created your account. If you already had an account here under that email, the link will not sign you in; use the normal email code sign-in instead. If the link has expired or was already used, your books are still yours, you just sign in the normal way to reach them.
Use the same email code sign-in described above. It also works if you never set a password at all, for example if your account came from a purchase or from Google.
There is no phone number for account recovery and nobody is on call around the clock. If you are stuck outside the email code sign-in above, contact us and we will help as soon as we can.
