What we publish

Gilead Press is a digital publisher of books and online courses. We write and produce our own catalogue and sell it direct, across several subjects. We are not a shop for other people's work, we are not a subscription, and we are not a media or an advice business.

Gilead Press is part of Limitless Rehoboth Technologies Limited.

We publish two kinds of thing. A book is a PDF: you download it and you keep it. A course is video lessons, watched here on the platform. Both are bought once, and neither expires. Courses are not open on this site yet.

Our books are written for the conditions the reader actually lives in, not for a general English-speaking reader somewhere else. That specificity is the practical difference between this catalogue and the very large supply of generic material: a health title is built around the markets and kitchens its readers really shop and cook in, and the imports course is built around the ports and paperwork its readers really deal with. A recipe that assumes an ingredient you cannot buy is not a recipe you can use.

The catalogue is organised into four subjects today: Health, Faith, Business and Technology. Three of them are empty. That is the shape we intend to grow into rather than a gap we are hiding: Health is where the finished work sits, and the site is built so that a first title in any other subject changes nothing but the count.

Evidence-informed has a specific meaning here, and it is not a compliment we pay ourselves. In the health books, every claim is labelled with how strong the evidence behind it is, using STRONG, REASONABLE and LIMITED, including where it is thin. A book that only told you the strong things would be easier to sell and less use to you, so the labelling runs both ways, and each book also says where it stops and hands over.

The books are health education. Not medical advice, not a diagnosis, not a prescription. Nothing in them is a reason to stop, reduce or change a prescribed medicine.

Who writes it

The books are published under the imprint rather than under a personal byline. No person is named as its author, and the author field of every PDF we sell reads Gilead Press. We would rather tell you that than print a name and a qualification on a page where you have no way to check either.

What stands in place of a byline is the labelling described above. A credential asks you to trust the person; the evidence labels let you judge the claim in front of you, one claim at a time, and they are the reason a book will tell you that the ground under a particular piece of advice is LIMITED. That is the standard we hold ourselves to instead, and it is the one you can hold us to.

How we work

We sell direct, and we sell outright. A purchase is a one-off: there is no renewal, no membership tier and no expiry date. Once a payment is confirmed the book is added to your library on this site and it does not expire, and the PDF itself is downloaded to your own device.

A book is sold on a single-reader licence. Read it and apply it in your own life and household, without restriction and without needing to credit us. It is not for resale, redistribution or re-publication. A course works the same way, except that the video is streamed here rather than downloaded.

We price for the market a reader is in. A title's naira price and its dollar price are two separate figures we have set, not one figure converted into the other, so they will not agree with any exchange rate you work out and they are not meant to. Where a price is not shown in a currency, that title is not sold in that currency.

Payment is taken by a payment processor, not by us: Paystack for naira and Flutterwave for dollars, pounds and euro. Your card details go straight to the processor and never reach Gilead Press. What we do when a payment goes wrong is set out on payments and refunds.
